The four stars car seat

For our rentals, we have chosen the car seat group 0+ High Performance and High Security Graco: Logico S HP has received four stars in the ADAC!
It is part of the range HP Trilogic Graco products combining high performance and maximum safety for the well being of your baby and for your peace! Comfortable and spacious, it installs in 1 click on its base (supplied with the car seat)
In an only rear facing position, either for short or long trips, choose this secured and well- adapted equipment for your child throughout our rental facilities!
Intuitive and easy installation
The mounting base is fixed with the safety belt using the blue guides for passing the seat belt.
The telescopic bottom must be set up so that it lies on the ground, between the front seat and the back seat. An ingenious control element allows you to adjust the base of the mounting base so that it perfectly fits on the back seat.
The seat is fixed in one click on the base and that's it: you attach your baby with the 5-point harness and you're ready to go for a drive!
Comfort and safety
Particular attention was paid to the comfort of the child: the coatings are soft while leaving a comfortable space for the child and the whole is removable, which is definitely a plus for the rental since we can clean it entirely.

Which car seat should I choose for a child of 3 or 4 years of age?
|
|
|
You often ask us about this as, in fact, the car seats in Group 0+/1 are for children who weigh up to 18kg, and the car seats in Group 2/3 are for children weighing between 15kg and 36kg. So, which is the right car seat for a child of 3 1/2 who weighs between 15kg and 18kg?

1- There is no harness in the Group 2/3 car seat: it's the seat belt and seat itself which hold the child in place. Caution: the buckle of the seat belt is easy for a child to reach and open.
2- The back and headrest of the Group 2/3 car seat serve two purposes: they hold the child's head in place and they correctly position the seat belt in the event of a collision. When a child is not tall enough for Group 2/3, the seat belt is not well positioned, ie it is too high and could harm the child in the event of a collision; in that scenario it would not be correctly holding the child in place.
Our recommendation: for a child weighing between 15kg and 18kg, choose a car seat with a 5-point harness, this means a seat in Group 0+/1. In this way you are ensuring a solid and safe position for your child.

On a practical note ... |
 |
Our folding rental beds come with a mattress and disposable mattress protector. Upon request, we can also provide an undersheet.
To erect the folding bed, lift the central leg as high as possible. Then, lift up the sides, the longer ones first, followed by the shorter ones. In this way, everything will fit together easily.
To fold the bed lift up the central leg then, one by one, press the button to be found in the middle of each side and lift the side slightly and let it fold towards the bottom.
Please do not force anything; if you find it difficult, call us. We’ll be happy to help you.

Stair safety gates |
 |
More and more parents and grandparents are asking us for child stair safety gates.
All the manufacturers we contacted recommend a screw fit safety gate which requires fixing to a solid surface Any other type of gate is not enough to guarantee a child’s safety. A temporary solution, therefore, should never be considered.
It is for this reason that Kidelio does not rent child stair safety gates

A reminder of how French law works |
 |
Adults and children over 10 years of age must wear seatbelts in the front and back seats of cars.
Children under 10 years of age must use appropriate approved seat restraints applicable to their size (or to the seatbelt). This has been in force since January 1st, 1992.
The law in force prohibiting a child from being transported in the front seat of a vehicle, does not apply if the child is seated with his/her «back to the road » in a child car seat specially designed and approved to that effect and where the front seat does not have an airbag.
SAFETY DEVICES:
The only devices which are approved are those which react by holding the child in place (the same principle as the seatbelt).
They protect the child by:
a voiding ejection (during a crash at 50 km/h, a child weighing 30 kg who is thrown forward, becomes a body mass of 500 kgs which, without a retaining system, is impossible to neutralise)
controlling body movement at the moment of impact
being placed on the strongest parts of the body. In summary, only approved car seats should ever be used for young children.
